The worst defeat in Starfleet History, and the largest single day loss of life in Starfleet History (at least until the Dominion War), the Battle of Wolf 359 is infamous in Starfleet’s history. While there was no way the Federation could have been prepared for the tragic combination of the Borg’s advanced technology and Jean-Luc Picard’s internal knowledge of Starfleet’s defense, many a Captain has spent time studying these events, wondering what they would have done had they been there.

The Battle of Wolf 359 is a brand new Task Force Operation coming to Star Trek Online on Xbox and PlayStation with the release of Star Trek Online: Both Worlds. The Federation and the Khitomer Alliance have decided to begin a new training regime for veteran Captains, hoping that the lessons of the past will allow them to better engage the threat of the Mirror Borg. You will take command of an era appropriate Federation starship (while still retaining your current ship’s stats, just like Battle at the Binary Stars) and face a lone Borg Cube intent on your destruction.

STO players long ago learned not to fear just a single Borg cube. How hard could one be to defeat, after all?
