Console Patch Notes for 10/15/19

New Episode added to J’Ula’s Discovery Arc - “Beneath the Skin”:

New Task Force Operation – “Mycelial Realm”:

New Event System:

  • Accessing the Mission Journal will now open access to a brand new Event system as part of one of the tabs featured.
  • Event progress will no longer require slotting projects, but instead will simply work as earned progress till you reach your goal. Play the current event and watch as your points accumulate!
  • All progress for upcoming Events will also now be truly account-wide, allowing you to participate in any of the new activities on any of your characters.

Event:

Mycelial Crisis:

  • The Mycelial Crisis represents a centralized Event designed to celebrate the various pieces of new Content being released.
  • Participating in this Event will give all players the opportunity to win a Tier-6 Elachi Starship for their entire account.
  • Navigate to the all-new Event tab located within the Mission Journal, to view all progress and allow quick access to all of the associated content for this Event.
  • Play through the new episode, new Task Force Operation, and patrols to earn varying amounts of progress points.
  • Rewards:
    • Accrue a total of 1200 Progress Points to claim the Grand Prize of Mycelial Crisis Event, which consists of the following:
      • Elachi Qulash Frigate [T6]
        • Once earned, every character on your account will be able to claim this Starship for themselves!
      • 8x Elachi Disruptor Weapon Pack (once per account)
      • 3x Ultimate Tech Upgrade - Beam/Cannon/Projectile Tech (once per account)
  • Bonus Rewards:
    • After claiming the Grand Prize, you will unlock the option of earning additional Dilithium Ore each day, beginning at 2,500 Dilithium Ore for the first day’s completion.
  • Zen Buyout Option:
    • For players interested in instantly completing the Mycelial Event, we will be offering an updated method for buying out.
      • Within the new Event UI, an option will be presented that allows you to purchase the remaining progress that you need, for a scaling amount of Zen.
  • A Second Chance:

New Ways to Play Patrols:

  • Five new patrols have been added, bringing new challenges and story to the universe.
    • Ruins of Doom
    • The Ninth Rule
    • Within the Briars
    • Sentinels
    • Rescue and Search
  • Five existing Delta Patrols have been revamped and added to the new Patrol UI for quick access.
    • Wanted
    • Satellite Defense
    • Gone Dark
    • Preying Upon the Weak
    • Unity
  • Patrols are now quicker and easier to play with the addition of a new Patrols tab in the Task Force Operations window.
  • Patrols can be played solo with no delay, or team up with other Captains and go in as a group.
  • Patrols will give you skill points, dilithium ore, and a small number of Marks of your choice upon completion.

General:

  • Memorial Plaque Text Updated:
    • Added Aron Eisenberg - Thank you for everything, Aron.
    • Added Jack Donner
  • Updated Exchange menu to include “Price Per Unit”.

Content:

  • Resolved an issue that was causing an error when trying to warp out of the Delta Quadrant.

Animation:

  • Emotes can no longer be triggered multiple times while playing.
  • The Mokbara emote no longer plays its starting animation twice.
  • The Shaka emote now properly animates.
  • The palm fronds used in Emote: Dance (Fan) no longer disappear after 37 seconds.
  • Facial animations have been added to most emotes.
  • Discovery Captains updated to use the correct beamout animation.
  • Resolved an issue that was causing the Aquarius Light Escort from properly animating while transwarping.
  • Resolved an issue that was causing various Klingon Bird of Prey ships from properly animating while transwarping.
  • Caitian and Ferasan ears are now animated.

Character:

  • Survival Outfit Updates:
    • Coloring the shirt no longer will color other parts of the costume pieces.
    • Armpatches for Klingon and Romulan factions tinting correctly apply full saturation.
    • Armpatches for Klingon and Romulan factions tinting scheme changed to allow for more tinting across the entire costume piece.
    • Armpatches for Klingon and Romulan factions redone to have proper contrast and details.
    • Armpatches for males no longer clip during running.
    • Survival Jacket for males no longer clip during running.
  • Resolved an issue that was causing character pieces to disappear when selecting certain outfits for Starfleet Romulan Female Captains
    • Jacket TIght TOS Medical.
    • Jacket Loose Nurse.
    • Jacket Loose Terran Mirror.
    • Jacket Loose Terran Enterprise.
  • Resolved an issue that caused Romulan and Reman characters to have invisible torsos with certain upper body outfits.
  • On Male Starfleet Human characters, Loose Pants (Racing) will no longer clip with the following boots:
    • Section 31 boots
    • Boot Utility

Systems:

  • WARBIRD UPDATE:
    • Removed "Romulan Only" restrictions from nearly all Warbirds and other Romulan-only starships.
    • Members of the Federation, Klingon, and Dominion factions that have completed their Tutorial (and traveled to the 25th century, if applicable) may now fly all such ships except for any on the following list of exclusions:
      • Commander's Gig
      • Daeinos/Dinaes Heavy Destroyer (All variants)
      • R'mor/Sui'Mor Temporal Science Vessel (All variants)
      • Talvath/Tal'aura Temporal Destroyer (All variants)
      • Thrai Dreadnought Warbird [T6]
      • Valkis Temporal Heavy Dreadnought Warbird [T6]
      • T'Liss Temporal Warbird [T6]
      • Kelvin Timeline T'laru-class Intel Carrier Warbird [T6]
  • Borg Adaptation Updates:
    • Resolved an issue where Borg were incapable of successfully adapting to the electrical damage dealt by the Lukari Piezo-Electric Wrist Apparatus.
    • Resolved an issue where some weapons' additional damaging effects were not properly inhibited by Borg Adaptation (example: The electrical area damage on Jaylah's Staff Secondary Fire, the electrical DOT on Sompek Pulsewave).
    • Resolved an issue where hazards created by some weapons' firing modes were not properly inhibited by Borg Adaptation (example: Plasmatic Biomatter Field).
  • "Superfluous Emitters" (Command Captain Spec) Updates:
    • Superfluous Emitters has been rebuilt to improve performance.
    • Description has been updated to match its intended functionality.
  • Resolved an issue that caused the extra tough or extra weak versions of some space NPC's to have the wrong amount of health.
  • Resolved an issue that was causing immunity to knockback to not work properly.
  • Account-Wide Reputation Gear Discount tasks can now be canceled.
  • Resolved an error that was preventing Mo'Kai enemies on both Space and Ground maps from sometimes rewarding XP and other numerics when defeated.
  • The mission "A New Warfare" now only rewards a Very Rare Kobali-species Warfare Specialist Duty Officer on first play.
    • Subsequent completions of this mission rewards a random Rare Duty Officer instead.
  • Resolved an issue that was causing the 3pc bonus from the Lorca’s Ambition Set to launch torpedoes while you were cloaked.
  • Resolved an error that was preventing DSC-Era Terran Empire enemies on both Space and Ground maps from sometimes rewarding XP and other numerics when defeated.
  • Resolved an issue that caused Andorian Phasers beam weapons to use the incorrect visuals under Beams: Overload.
  • Resolved an issue that caused Advanced Fleet Plasma wbeam weapons from K13 to use the incorrect visuals under Beams: Overload.
  • The Primary Attack on "Leck's Throwing Knives" has been tuned to attack 3x as fast, but damage has been reduced accordingly to maintain the same approximate DPS.
  • Resolved an issue where the 45 second lockout on the Temporal Insight Starship trait wasn't working correctly.
  • The Secondary Attack on "Leck's Throwing Knives" has been changed to split some of its damage among number of targets hit, but now has higher maximum potential damage against a single target, to justify its longer recharge time compared to the primary attack.
  • Resolved an issue with Neural Network Overload where it could sometimes cause damage to allies.
  • After completing the mission "Defense Contract", Deuterium Surplus will now appear as a crafting option in the Engineering R&D school.
