With modular power selection and a variety of chasses to choose from, vehicles in Champions Online are just as customizable as your hero.

Whether you're trying to build a support-oriented sentinel of the air, a ferocious armored ad hover tank, or a speedster jet with neon green powers, get ready for customization when vehicles launch on Friday!

Your vehicle's powers are completely customizable: Although every vehicle comes with powers, they can be removed and swapped around just like any MODs. The key thing is how many slots your vehicle has. Rarer, top-tier vehicles can have up to eight slots for MODs: four for Weapons, two Support systems, and two Defense systems.

Each weapon MOD will grant your vehicle another weapon power that you can use. These come in three ranks, but they can’t be upgraded -- you have to acquire a Mark 3 version of the MOD to get the third-rank power. Currently Mark 2 versions of two powers exist: the Avalanche has Incendiary Round, and the Desert Fox has the Railgun. We’ll be introducing more high-powered Mk. 2 and Mk. 3 weapon powers in the future – stay tuned!
 

Support and Defense MODs, on the other hand, behave much more like traditional MODs. They provide a boost to a stat, whether it be shortening cooldowns or increasing your damage, and they can be fused and ranked up to Rank 9. These MODs can stack effects if you have two of the same MOD. Support and Defense MODs also grant additional effects at Ranks 3 and 6, so make sure you Fuse and upgrade your MODs!

You’ll be able to customize your vehicle further with your choice of chassis. With the launch of Champions Online: Reloaded, there will be thirteen chasses available: variants of the Hawkwing jet, variants of a graceful shark-like grav tank, and variants of a four-engine heavy tank.

It’s important to note that, while there are some stat differences between vehicles, you can customize every chassis to match your dream vehicle. The most important differences between chasses are how many slots they have and their skin – although they do come with different weapons (some of which will be Mark 2 versions, the only way to get them), those MODs can be pulled out of the chassis and shifted to any other chassis.

Each of the vehicle chasses has its own unique appearance with a different pattern and coloration. 
 

In addition, Gold players can change the color of their vehicle powers much like they can change their hero powers. Open your power window and select the toggle at the bottom-left, and select a new default power color. This will be the color for all of your vehicle powers, and will also set the color of all your other powers.
